As a result, it’s a good idea for those family members to also follow this plan, even if they haven’t been diagnosed yet. The diet provides consistent, frequent meals, which helps to regulate blood sugar levels, and also keeps the metabolism working at full speed. It includes fresh, healthy foods.
Of course, there are things people don’t like about the diet. For one, there are no high sugar or processed foods allowed. While this can cause cravings initially, keep in mind that living a healthy lifestyle will require changes to your current lifestyle. However, once you get used to them, you’re likely to find that you feel much better than you did before. Others don’t care for the need to count carbohydrates. In fact, some choose something closer to the Medifast diet, because it provides all the food already prepared, and takes out all of the counting guesswork.
