Luckily we are all past this stage in our lives. In fact life was simpler back then. Today the stress of keeping a job, family commitments and financial worries are enough to make us physically unhealthy. Yet depression doesn’t have to own us. We can do something about it and it doesn’t have to be as expensive as today’s dental work bill. Get off your butt and get out and get some exercise. To begin a simple walk around your neighborhood is a good start. Work in at least 30 minutes 3 times a week. Gradually you’ll feel better to increase the minutes. Then start a strength program to regain muscle strength. Find a personal trainer and rediscover your body.

Buying a few pieces of strength equipment won’t break the bank. It is a well worth investment toward your health. Soon you’ll regain muscle strength, added flexibility and you’ll see your stamina increase. Amazing how so little physical exercise will take you. If you rather work out at home, there are good instructional exercise dvds to help you work on a specific discipline. If you’ve never tried Pilates or yoga, maybe now is the time to jump right in. Pilates or yoga will push you physically even more. You may still have worries about the future, but as long as you are physically and mentally strong you’ll be in better shape to deal with them.
