Casual Entertaining with French Dip Sandwiches
We have a great group of friends and usually get together at least once a month to play cards, have dinner and chat. We take turns hosting these little parties and usually keep the food pretty casual. This past week it was our turn and I wanted to do something a little different from the usual assortment of sandwiches and dips. At the same time, I didn’t want to spend most of the day and evening in the kitchen. My slow cooker came to the rescue. I found this great crockpot French Dip Roast recipe online and gave it a try. It turned out wonderful and made some of the best French dip sandwiches we ever had.
It was a big hit with all our friends as well. I can highly recommend looking for crockpot recipesfor entertaining. You can prepare everything well ahead of time and then take your time to get ready for the party and enjoy some time socializing before it’s time to eat. When your guests are hungry, the food will be ready to serve. Cleanup is a breeze as well since all you have to do is wash your slowcooker the next morning. I sometimes like to use those new crockpot liners when I know the dish is pretty messy (cheese dip for example). It makes cleanup even easier.
